Managing Director – Operations & Delivery
Tani brings more than 23 years of civil construction experience to Kāpehu, with a background spanning project delivery, heavy civil construction, commercial management and the New Zealand Defence Force.
As Managing Director, Tani leads Kāpehu’s operations and project delivery, with responsibility for commercial performance, client relationships, estimating and forward work, contractual management and the strategic direction of the business.
He remains actively involved across Kāpehu’s projects, supporting construction teams, managing project and commercial risk, and ensuring the resources, planning and leadership are in place to deliver safely and effectively.
Tani’s focus is on building a high-performing civil and infrastructure business known for strong delivery, capable people and the ability to take on challenging work.
Whakapono Nepata-Tuake
Managing Director – Business, Compliance & Health and Safety
Whakapono brings more than 13 years of experience within large government organisations in Aotearoa, providing a strong foundation in business management, governance, compliance and organisational leadership.
As Managing Director, Whakapono leads Kāpehu’s business administration, compliance and health and safety functions, supporting the systems and processes that underpin the company’s operational delivery.
She plays a key role in maintaining strong client and contractor relationships while ensuring Kāpehu’s people, systems and projects operate to a consistently high standard.
