Ormiston Primary School – Sports Field & Civil Infrastructure
Kāpehu Civil delivered the civil construction package for the development of the new sports field and associated infrastructure at Ormiston Primary School.
The project involved the construction of a high-performance sports field, including approximately 2.4 km of subsoil drainage, bulk earthworks exceeding 5,000 m³, and the construction of approximately 7,000 m² of engineered pavement areas.
Our scope also included stormwater and drainage infrastructure, approximately 500 linear metres of footpaths, pavement construction, site grading and associated civil works required to deliver the completed facility.
Working within an active school environment required careful staging, strong health and safety controls, and close coordination with the wider project team. The project demonstrates Kāpehu’s capability to deliver turnkey sports field developments alongside complex civil and drainage infrastructure.
